About the position
Are you looking for a new challenge within continuous improvement? Are you excited about improving manufacturing processes and identifying ways to implement sustainable solutions? If so, the Continuous Improvement Manager role in Lawrence, KS is for you! Amarr, an industry leader in sectional garage doors and part of global opening solutions leader ASSA ABLOY, is searching for an experienced Continuous Improvement leader to consult, coach, and provide direction to multiple process improvement teams (PITs). This position will be the champion/change agent for helping Amarr achieve our continuous improvement strategy. As the Continuous Improvement Leader, you will be the Lean 5S Champion for the facility, leading a cultural shift towards achieving continuous improvement strategy goals and objectives. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Lean tools and techniques, providing guidance to the training department and management staff. Utilizing cross-functional teams, you will gain insights into all aspects of internal capabilities and opportunities, directing and supervising the activities of the 5S Technicians and Training Team. Your role will involve providing one-to-one coaching and consulting to PIT Leaders, applying various tools and performing statistical analyses for PIT projects. This includes utilizing methods such as Pareto analysis, Control Charts, Histograms, Check Sheets, Cause and Effect Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and more. You will also conduct time studies and value stream mapping, developing corrective action procedures as necessary. Training will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.

• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing essential functions related to continuous improvement.

• Experience supervising multiple people performing continuous improvement activities.
