Job Summary:
Molecular Application Specialist
As a Molecular Application Specialist you will have the unique opportunity to support both current and potential customers in the set up, installation, training, technical specifications, equipment, and troubleshooting of various real-time PCR instruments and assays. The Molecular Application Specialist will support clients virtually and become a trusted advisor while assisting laboratories that are start-up phases with new assays.
Responsibilities:
· Ability to understand molecular biology experiments while working with internal team members to support laboratories implementing new processes
· Manage multiple project timelines and interact with multiple customers in a week
· Effectively communicate with customers on training, project status, and data analysis
· Exhibit strong professionalism with customers and provide strong customer service
· Interact with customers at all levels including laboratory scientists, laboratory technicians, and laboratory directors,
· Utilize and support various PCR testing platforms
· Analyze data, problem solve, and troubleshoot experiments
· Extremely organized and deliver final product timely
· Work with senior leadership to ensure goals and objectives are achieved
· Ability to manage additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
· B.S. in Molecular Biology or related science field
· 2+ years of experience with real-time PCR (strongly preferred)
· Strong knowledge of real-time PCR platforms (preferred)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word (preferred)
