Job Title: Sales Technician: Irrigation & Lighting
Location: Hybrid (South Seattle warehouse, client homes, remote)
Compensation: $50K - $80K per year Salary, plus commission; potential for additional earnings based on sales performance. Company Vehicle. OTE $100K+ Year 1.
Position Type: W2 Salaried (exempt, not entitled to overtime); 40-50 hours per week with seasonal fluctuations.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Sales Technician to join our dynamic team in the Landscape Lighting & Irrigation division. This hybrid role involves a mix of sales, operations, customer service, and physical labor, with opportunities for growth and long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales:
• Focus on generating new sales for irrigation diagnostic, repair & installation and outdoor landscape lighting.
• Engage with potential customers, conduct sales meetings at their homes, and manage the sales cycle from inquiry to billing.
• Work with office staff to respond to leads and set appointments.
• Collaborate with the managerial team to plan and execute upcoming projects.
• Oversee project estimates, handle scope adjustments, and assist with post-project reviews.
• Operations:
• Manage installation and oversee crews for projects you sell; engage in physical labor, labor essential for irrigation repair. Larger projects will have a crew to support.
• Schedule deliverables, coordinate with colleagues to order materials, and reconcile costs.
• Ensure high standards of installation and proper use of materials and techniques.
Job Requirements:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for sustainable landscaping practices is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Ability to perform strenuous construction tasks, including lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders. Physical work will be required.
• Landscape Lighting and Irrigation Experience Preferred.
Training:
• The first 30 days involve hands-on training, including time with installation crews to understand workflows and responsibilities. We will consider candidates with limited experience.
