Place Creative Co., a Burlington, VT-based brand marketing and design firm, is looking for an BUSINESS DIRECTORto manage all aspects of the company’s finances and operations. The ideal candidate will be


focused, flexible, accurate, detailed, and communicate effectively with vendors, clients, project managers, and partners to drive the business mission, relationships, and financial success.


Essential Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


– Build Relationships with Clients + Staff: Ensure the smooth operations to encourage good business relations and happy employees.


– Financial: Month-end and year-end process. Financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Job cost tracking


and business profitability analyses.


– Administrative: Insurance compliance, insurance audits, vendor documentation, client relations/documentation, and


record management.


– Bookkeeping: Accounts payable/receivable, bank/credit card reconciliations, journal entries, accounting statements, and payroll. Experience working with ADP a plus.


• Systems Management: Manage and maintain company financial databases.


• Human Resources: Benefit Administration and new employee inscription/processing.


Work Requirements and Abilities/Skills


• Accounting and bookkeeping experience: 10 years (preferred)


• QuickBooks and Excel experience: 10 years (preferred)


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar (i.e. business administration)


• Knowledge – Economics and accounting, mathematics, English language, administrative and clerical procedures, computers and electronics, administration and management principles, laws governing accounting. Knowledge of US GAAP principles.


• Skills – Active listening, problem-solving, reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking, speaking, and making judgments and decisions including complex problem solving, and good time management skills. Proficient in QBO and Excel.


• Abilities – Mathematical reasoning, oral and written comprehension, deductive reasoning, effective communication of information and ideas in speaking with others.


• Other – Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize work, analyze data and information, communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates, maintain interpersonal relationships, must be exacting and accurate. Be a friendly co-work to all in our small company
