Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are inviting applications for the role of Social Media Strategist to be a part of our client's marketing agency team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This REMOTE role is central to our client's marketing agency team, where you will be instrumental in devising strategies based on client needs, guiding the customer on platform utilization, content creation, and frequency of posts. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment. The Social Media Strategist will support the agency's clients with all things social media management, content strategy, planning, and some account management responsibilities. The ideal Social Media Strategist will have a background working in an agency and on social media campaigns. Responsibilities:• Strategize and recommend suitable social media platforms based on client goals.• Collaborate with the client account teams to make recommendations on the type of content to create.• Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Editorial Calendars, Facebook Insights, and Google+ to assist in content creation and strategy.• Facilitate bi-weekly meetings with the Focus Innovation Group to coordinate tasks and streamline processes.• Oversee the drafting and creation of content by Account Managers and designers.• Enhance brand awareness and engagement by implementing best practices in blogging and content strategy.• Conduct regular reviews of materials based on the established strategy.• Leverage analytics to monitor and improve social media strategies. • Ensure accurate reporting and facilitate workload management without directly managing or monitoring social accounts.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Social Media Strategist role or similar within an agency • Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva for content creation• Strong experience with managing and implementing editorial calendars• Knowledge of Facebook Insights and Google+ to track and improve social media performance• Proven experience in creating and managing advertisements on various social media platforms• Proficiency in using analytics tools to measure and improve social media performance• Familiarity with current best practices in social media marketing• Experience with blogging to improve brand visibility and engagement• Proven track record in increasing brand awareness through strategic social media campaigns• Solid experience in developing and implementing content strategy across multiple social media platforms
