🛠Maintenance Lead – 1st Shift
📍 Location: Lakeville
🕒 Current Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (subject to change/flexibility)
đź’Ľ Full-Time | Industrial/Manufacturing Environment
Seeking a driven, safety-conscious, and experienced Maintenance Lead to join and guide our 1st shift team. In this critical role, you’ll take the lead on coordinating daily maintenance activities, supervising a team of 6–8 skilled technicians, and supporting both preventive and emergency repairs across our facility. You'll play a key role in improving reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across maintenance operations.

đź”§ Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Perform all maintenance duties within your classification at a high level of competence
• Coordinate the maintenance crew to complete repairs, preventative maintenance, and special projects
• Lead daily scheduling efforts to address breakdowns and ensure timely repair
• Promote and enforce the use of PPE, and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Report injuries and safety concerns to Supervisor and EHS Manager immediately
• Motivate and coach team members to achieve department goals and peak performance
• Introduce and support Lean techniques and cost-reduction efforts
• Monitor team morale and communicate concerns to HR or Supervisor as needed
• Support facility maintenance, including housekeeping, equipment upkeep, and installation
• Create and manage work orders (corrective and PM); ensure timely completion
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical systems, and drive trains
• Conduct installations, major repairs, and replacements—ensuring safety standards are met
• Respond to emergency requests and participate in the on-call rotation
• Assist with spare parts tracking and MRO coordination
• Support cross-department collaboration and strategic planning for downtime reduction
âś… Required Qualifications:
• 6–9 years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or equivalent
• Proficient in reading/interpreting tape measures, calipers, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and electrical applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer programs
• Proven ability to lead a team and delegate work effectively
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift
• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in the on-call rotation
🌟 Preferred Qualifications:
• 10+ years of maintenance experience
• Prior maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
• Skilled in three or more areas: CNC, electronics, welding, hydraulics, metalworking
• Experience with arc and wire feed welding on steel/aluminum
• Comfortable reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• Experience operating mills, lathes, and performing plumbing work
• Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
• High awareness for safety and quality standards
