Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Lumber Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate works well with others, has good attention to detail, and can read a tape measure This role involves assisting customers, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining the organization of the lumber yard.
Responsibilities
• Assist customers with lumber selection and loading.
• Load and unload lumber and other materials from trucks.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely (if applicable).
• Maintain a clean and organized lumber yard.
• Accurately measure and cut lumber as needed.
• Stock inventory and perform regular inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Skills
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment.
• Previous experience in a lumber yard or construction setting.
• Basic knowledge of lumber types and grades.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
Work Schedule
• Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
