Strategic Project Development Manager

We are looking for a talented Project Manager Lead to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a highly skilled project manager, you will be responsible for leading high-profile projects with complex requirements, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.

Your primary focus will be on managing large-scale Medical Center projects and programs that have significant visibility to executive leaders and board members. You will be involved in the deployment of information technology systems and major medical center initiatives such as technology investments and new business acquisition.

Key responsibilities include establishing priorities for mission-critical projects, developing project plans, tracking budgets and expenses, and creating progress reports. You will also partner with vertical executive leadership teams to evolve governance process strategies, prioritize initiatives based on organizational strategy, and manage portfolios of projects.

This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and stakeholder management. As a Project Team Leader, you will direct cross-functional project personnel, identify resource needs, and perform quality reviews to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.

You will work closely with senior management to review project proposals, determine goals, timeframes, funding limitations, and staffing requirements. Additionally, you will facilitate project team meetings, create project communications plans, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

A successful candidate for this position must possess 7 years of project management experience, including 2 years of data gathering and business analysis experience. A Bachelor's Degree is required, and a Master's Degree is preferred. PMP certification is mandatory within one year of hire.
