Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Window Security Film Installer to join our team. This role involves installing security, solar, and decorative films on commercial, residential, and automotive glass surfaces. The ideal candidate should have experience in film installation or a related trade, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Measure, cut, and install window security film on various types of glass surfaces.
• Prepare and clean glass surfaces to ensure proper film adhesion.
• Use specialized tools to apply and smooth out films, ensuring a bubble-free finish.
• Work with different types of films, including safety, anti-graffiti, solar control, and decorative films.
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and client specifications.
• Ensure installations meet company and manufacturer standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair film installations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper care of tools and materials.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client questions or concerns.
• Follow all safety guidelines and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in window film installation, auto tinting, or related trade is preferred but not required (training provided for the right candidate).
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting.
• Ability to use hand tools such as squeegees, knives, and heat guns.
• Basic knowledge of glass and window film properties.
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or scaffolding.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with security, solar, and decorative window films.
• Certification from industry-recognized programs (e.g., IWFA, 3M, Llumar) is a plus.
• Background in glazing, tinting, or signage installation is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, kneeling, and working in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
