Supply Chain Planner

Description:

A large Aviation company located in Everett, WA is looking for a sharp, detail-orientated individual who can provide a mix of developing strategic material supply plans, establishing inventory levels, and ensuring that the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet production demand. This position is an entry/intermediate level position to get your foot in the door with a highly successful, well sought, ethical, and diverse Aviation company within the international world.

This role is responsible of planning and monitoring the flow of material from receipt of demand through the manufacturing process. This position will be synchronizing material availability with final assembly build schedules for their assigned work center(s). Within this role, you will maintain and adjust line side inventory sizes and safety stock sizes to meet customer schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Releases job orders to production
• Reschedules job orders to meet customer schedules
• Maintains a forward-looking view of inventory backlog while monitoring and resolving upcoming obstacles that will hinder schedule performance
• Inputs job order status and delivery information for Customer Service
• Communicates upcoming supply shortages with Buyers
• Defines and proactively adjusts inventory levels (line side inventory, safety stock, finished goods)
• Recommends and implements ideas to improve product velocity, right-size inventory levels, and/or reduced overall costs
• Maintain item master modifiers

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 2 years of Supply Chain experience as a Supply Planner, Material Planner, Production Planner, or equivalent experience
• B.A. in Supply Chain/Business/or equivalent experience
• 2 years of equivalent ERP/MRP experience
  • SAP, Oracle, EWS, etc...

Nice-to-have Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Supply Chain experience as a Supply Planner, Material Planner, Production Planner, or equivalent experience
• M.A. in Supply Chain/Business/or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of equivalent ERP/MRP experience
  • SAP, Oracle, EWS, etc...
